The Architects, Engineers and Surveyors Association (AESA Pune) organises a competition for projects for the members of AESA. Our Project – Jalihal house won their Jury Recommendation citation for integrating traditional building elements in the structure. This was very special for us as we had used traditional elements like stone, old wooden doors, windows and posts as structural elements and not just as decoration. Pooja and other members of our studio received this award at their ceremony on 16th of March ’24.

We look forward to these awards as they give us a chance to interact with our peers from the city. It is a superb initiative by AESA and they take a lot of effort to organise the jury for these awards. Most of the buildings in Pune are visited by the jury members along with the Architects/contractors and they have to give a presentation for the same.
