Master’s students of Digital, Environmental and Landscape streams of BN College of Architecture, Pune were at the receiving end of this session on photography. I conducted this workshop along with a colleague -Aditya Laghate.
The focus was to simplify photography techniques for the uninitiated. This was for those requiring knowledge of photography in their architectural practice, portfolio and documentation works. Without referring to high-end technology of SLR cameras, we talked about concepts of wide angle coverage, zoom lenses, sharpness, depth, digital zooms, shutters, and iso. We held practical experiments with cellphone cameras and point and shoot cameras to reinforce these concepts.
There was an important session on post processing followed by a session on observing works of master photographers. Here is a not-so-good picture taken when I was teaching.
